Over the weekend, each of the following activities will go live with either playable session videos, or access to live sessions, as applicable. These will only be available to those who have registered to participate. You can see the complete Schedule here
Moving into intermediate level with Jacob and Shani, the key focus for this class will be "Using the Floor". This will include Drags, Drags vs Slow movement, Super Soft Single Time Jigs, Split Slide. For less experienced dancers, if you have completed the first three classes with Jacob and Shani then please do try this class as you will be able to focus on elements of particular interest, taking these at your own pace.
This class with Mickey and Kelly will focus on adding pivot steps, and playing with rotation. You will be guided through the basic pivot step, and from there building to become more complicated as the class progresses.
Join Jacob and Shani for this live class which will include Dean’s heel waggle and other fun variations. Although this will be geared towards Intermediate and above dancers, there will be something for less experienced dancers to practice.
The theme of this class with Jacob and Shani is "Do What you Know But Slooower". They will cover Triangle/Crabwalks, Choo Choos, Hangman/Daffy Duck and Messaround. Although geared towards Intermediate and above dancers, we would encourage less experienced dancers to have a go at some of these elements too.
The final class with Mickey and Kelly will get into some more Bal Swing goodness for your Slow Bal, including moving from close to open position. There will be swivels and "twisty twisty" movements for both leads and follows, with both simple options as well as more advanced combinations.
The topic of "Up your rhythm!" is an interesting theme for a Slow Bal class. Intrigued and like to find out more?... then please join Andreas and Olga for this live class, or check out the recording later which we will try to make available as soon as possible. The class will be geared towards Intermediate and above dancers, but less experienced dancers might find this useful too.
Our final class with Jacob and Shani is entitled "Swing It". Although traditionally Slow Bal was danced in close hold, Jacob and Shani add Bal Swing elements for variety including a Funky Throw Out, Synchopated Out-n-Ins and Swivel Walks. Enjoy....!
